Advanced Practice Provider

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Local MD Urgent Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, excel in communication, and value teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Patient-Centered Care: Deliver high-quality patient care, prioritizing their needs and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Initial Scheduling and Testing: Handle initial scheduling and testing procedures, ensuring timely and efficient patient flow.
- Urgent Care and Primary Care Services: Address urgent care, primary care, and occupational health patients' needs, following up as required.
- Communication and Documentation: Communicate effectively with employers on workers' comp cases, documenting Work Status reports according to Local MD workers' comp standards.
- Occupational Health Protocols: Follow occupational health protocols as indicated on account Work Forms.
- Initial Patient Screenings and Assessments: Perform initial patient screenings, physical examinations, and create assessment plans.
- Diagnostic Testing and Treatment: Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, determining the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment.
- Prescription and Medication Management: Prescribe and manage medications and treatments, including psychopharmacological agents.
- Quality Care and Metrics: Deliver quality care while adhering to company metrics for documentation, coding, HEDIS measures, patient engagement, and medical expense management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of one-year urgent care experience (preferred).
- Licensure and Certification: Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license and board certification.
- Certifications: BLS certification (required), ACLS (preferred).
