We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at TransWest Mobility. As a key member of our fleet operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and perform maintenance tasks as needed.
- Repair and maintain complex vehicle systems, including transmissions, brakes, and engines.
- Address immediate fleet concerns and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Track daily vehicle reports, labor hours, and maintenance records to ensure all files are up-to-date.
- Conduct field visits to diagnose and repair vehicle issues.
- Support the IT team in managing on-board shuttle technology, including Wi-Fi devices and telematics systems.
- HD ASE certification.
- Experience working with heavy-duty electrical systems, brakes, and suspensions.
- Knowledge of software diagnostics (Insight, ALLData).
- HVAC certification.
- Power Train Certification.
- Minimum of three years maintenance experience working with a variety of vehicles, including Transit buses.
- Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Current Washington State Driver's license or able to obtain a Washington State Driver's License within 30 days of start date or transfer.
- Must have an active US DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain a US DOT Medical Card by the start date.
- Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with a P Endorsement preferred.
- Pay rate of $35-$45 an hour DOE.
- $7,500 sign-on bonus.
- $2,000 per year tool allowance.
- Company-provided uniforms with in-house weekly uniform cleaning service.
- Holiday Pay.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and 401k with matching available for full-time employees.
- PTO accruals starting on Day 1 with increasing levels based on years of service.
- Flexible work schedules (4 10's, evenings, weekends, and part-time available).
