Fleet Maintenance Technician

TransWest Mobility is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team in Seattle. As a key member of our Fleet Team, you will be responsible for performing complex maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for our staff and clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance, with experience working with a variety of vehicles, including Transit buses. You will be responsible for inspecting vehicle systems, repairing transmission, brakes, engines, and other associated parts, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
We offer a competitive pay rate of $35-$45 an hour, a $7,500 sign-on bonus, and a $2,000 per year tool allowance. Our team enjoys a close-knit atmosphere, with regular summer BBQs, holiday parties, and other social events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles
- Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts
- Repair transmission, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Work with the operations team to ensure safe and reliable vehicles
Requirements:
- HD ASE certified
- Experience working with HD Electrical Systems, brakes, and suspensions
- Knowledgeable in reading software diagnostics (Insight, ALLData)
- HVAC certified
- Power Train Certification
- Minimum of three (3) years maintenance experience working with a variety of vehicles, including Transit buses
- Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Current Washington State Driver's license or able to obtain a Washington State Driver's License within 30 days of start date or transfer
- Must have an active US DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain a US DOT Medical Card by the start date
- Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with a P Endorsement preferred (We offer CDL training to help our Fleet Tech's get their CDL)
