Job Title: Director of Fleet Maintenance

Overview:

At MV Transportation, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Fleet Maintenance to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring that they are safe, reliable, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules for our fleet of vehicles.
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure that our vehicles are properly maintained and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance personnel, including technicians, mechanics, and other support staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and safety, to ensure that our maintenance programs align with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance programs and ensure that costs are controlled and optimized.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in fleet maintenance and implement changes as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in fleet maintenance management, preferably in the transit industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and directing teams of maintenance personnel.
  • Experience working with unionized labor and managing collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and external partners.
  • ASE or manufacturer's certifications a plus.
