Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a key member of our clinical care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support activities, promoting patient-focused care within our Specialty Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, collect specimens, and perform procedures as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
  • Support registered nurses in patient care activities, including vital sign collection, documentation, and communication.
  • Perform clinical procedures, such as specimen collection, venipuncture, and EKG, under the guidance of a registered nurse.
  • Assist patients with ambulation, mobilization, and other activities as needed.
  • Deliver and collect patient trays, flowers, and other items as required.
  • Participate in emergency clean-up and transport patients as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certificate of completion of a medical assistant/patient care assistant program with skills in venipuncture and EKG preferred.
  • Three to nine months of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Heartsaver and/or BCLS Certification from the American Heart Association required.
