Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Associate to join our Ambulatory Care team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and services to our diverse patient population.
Job Summary:
The Patient Care Associate will provide direct patient care, perform administrative tasks, and assist with clinical procedures under the supervision of a licensed nurse or professional medical staff. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, registering patients, and handling phone calls.
- Assist with clinical procedures, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and services.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of experience in ambulatory care or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
NYC Health + Hospitals offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
