Job Summary

Become part of a dynamic organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of diverse communities. As an Administrative Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the mission of UNC Health Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expedite non-routine purchases for departments, utilizing independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Train others using verbal and written communication, promoting knowledge sharing and development.
  • Perform complex scheduling of providers, staff, facilities, home care, and patients, requiring critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events, including travel arrangements, to meet predetermined needs.
  • Prepare and maintain basic financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare complex forms, reports, presentations, and documents, requiring a high level of proficiency with software.
  • Procure and file records, research lost or missing records, and post information to records or ledgers, adhering to established procedures and systems.
  • Verify accuracy and compliance with rules and procedures, resolving discrepancies and errors.
  • Register patients, complete encounter forms, collect patient payments and insurance information, and make proper referrals to financial departments.
  • Represent UNC Health Care with internal and external entities, promoting organizational goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a second-level response to customer inquiries and complaints, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One year of clerical or administrative experience.
  • Ability to learn and master the scheduling system.
  • Customer Focus, Technical Expertise, Coachability, Accountability, Fiscal Responsibility, and Conflict Resolution skills.

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
