This role involves overseeing controls engineering project specifications, including control system architecture, PLC and HMI programming, instrumentation, and support during system start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement control systems (both software and hardware).
Create control logic software and user interface applications.
Draft schematics that detail control system configurations and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts using AutoCAD.
Support initial system start-up and debugging, along with the creation of system documentation and validation.
Work on automation and control system integration projects for clients in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and more.
Experience with pharmaceutical validation is a plus.
A comprehensive understanding of control systems, components, ladder logic programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, GE, Modicon, Siemens), and/or SCADA is essential.
Qualifications:
Preferred experience of 5+ years in the following areas:
Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical industry experience.
PLC expertise (Rockwell).
HMI/SCADA experience in the following order:
Inductive Automation/Ignition
Rockwell FactoryTalk
AVEVA System Platform
Control System Network knowledge.
ISA 88 Batch experience.
Experience in designing electrical schematics and control panels.
Proven experience leading teams of engineers/technicians to deliver control system solutions.
Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers.
Professional references from a subordinate, a peer, and a manager are preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
Compensation will be determined based on work experience, education, key skills, and other relevant factors.
