Position Summary

The Radiology Partners team is in search of a motivated Ultrasound Imaging Specialist who will be responsible for conducting a range of ultrasound examinations. The Ultrasound Technologist will adeptly operate and maintain imaging equipment while ensuring that all necessary safety protocols are observed.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conducts various diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients in accordance with established protocols.
  • Positions patients appropriately for ultrasound examinations and provides clear explanations of the procedures.
  • Operates ultrasound machinery to capture high-quality images while monitoring patient conditions.
  • Demonstrates technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with physicians, colleagues, patients, and their families.
  • Collaborates with physicians to determine the appropriate protocols and parameters for patient scans.
  • Processes imaging and patient data through Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), or other necessary formats.
  • Conducts various forms of digital data analysis.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on ultrasound equipment.
  • Implements required cleaning and sterilization procedures for each patient interaction.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in ultrasound.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Certification as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (ARDMS) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography is mandatory.
  • Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers is required.
