Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager and Shift Supervisor, the Radiologic Imaging Specialist is essential in executing a variety of radiographic examinations utilizing ionizing radiation. This role encompasses performing specific tasks for diagnostic purposes in accordance with departmental protocols while nurturing positive interpersonal relationships that reflect Prisma Health's core values.

All staff members are expected to embody Prisma Health's fundamental values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity, and teamwork.

  • Efficiently conducts a broad spectrum of procedures, from ERCPs to minor traumas, showcasing expertise in various critical care tasks and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Enhances patient care and safety, ensuring an efficient workflow, appropriate equipment utilization, and fostering strong relationships within the department.
  • Performs quality assessments on images, upholds patient satisfaction, and engages in organizational adaptations while remaining informed of updates.
Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibits proficiency in a diverse array of procedures and critical care functions.
  • Advocates for patient care, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Conducts quality evaluations on images, oversees patient satisfaction, and adjusts to organizational changes.

Supervisory/Management Duties: N/A

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program
  • No prior experience necessary

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses:

  • ARRT Registered
  • SCRQSA License
  • CPR certified

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional Customer Service and Team Collaboration Skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Familiarity with office equipment and software applications
  • Knowledge of data entry, PACS, and EMR systems
