Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Scheduling Coordinator to enhance patient care by collaborating effectively with our clinic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling follow-up and treatment appointments, handling external referrals, managing no-shows, responding to phone inquiries, and rescheduling patients as necessary.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of quality services by adhering to established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards.
  • Engage with patients and visitors in a compassionate and respectful manner, working alongside other care team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain and utilize patient electronic medical records efficiently.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of care.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to uphold skills, knowledge, and competency in fulfilling role responsibilities.
  • Communicate with insurance providers to secure prior authorizations for patient procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to scheduling specific procedures such as imaging scans and biopsies is essential.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in an outpatient healthcare setting.
  • A background in oncology is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are necessary.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
