About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Membership Service Representative at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our members, guests, and program participants, contributing to a positive and inclusive experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to members, guests, and program participants, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and retention.
  • Welcome and engage with members as they enter and leave the facility, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols, including COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with members, volunteers, and collaborative partners, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Handle and resolve membership concerns and issues, escalating to supervisor as needed.
  • Maintain branch and association certifications, including CPR/AED, Blood-borne Pathogens, and Branch Emergency procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with members, guests, and staff, providing clear and concise information and assistance.
  • Participate in annual branch campaigns and initiatives, contributing to the achievement of team goals and objectives.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions, staying up-to-date on policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SPIRIT software.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, including a criminal record check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
