Client Safety and Support Specialist
Overview:
The Client Safety and Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of individuals in a supportive environment. This position involves conducting safety assessments, observing client behavior, and upholding established protocols and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
The individual in this role will be responsible for the following:
+ Guaranteeing the safety and security of all clients within the facility.
+ Upholding client confidentiality and demonstrating ethical conduct consistently.
+ Complying with all organizational policies and procedures.
+ Providing information to prospective clients and maintaining accurate referral databases.
+ Conducting initial assessments and managing waiting lists as necessary.
+ Initiating and maintaining comprehensive client files upon admission, ensuring all documentation is current, including progress notes and discharge information.
+ Monitoring and recording client vital signs.
+ Observing the overall health of clients, particularly during withdrawal phases, and referring to external services when required.
+ Responding appropriately to crisis situations, including threats of violence, suicidal ideation, and health emergencies.
+ Performing hourly safety checks on all client accommodations.
+ Participating in all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
+ Completing all necessary shift documentation.
+ Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
+ A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Familiarity with women's recovery issues is advantageous.
+ If in recovery, a minimum of one year of continuous abstinence from substances and active participation in a recovery program is essential.
+ Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening is mandatory.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
The physical demands of this role include:
+ Ability to reach, push, pull, stoop, stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds.
+ Possession of a valid Driver's License and a safe driving record, along with the required minimum vehicle insurance as needed for job duties.
Work Environment:
The work environment may involve:
+ Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and off-site duties.
+ Moderate to loud noise levels.
Additional Considerations:
+ Work hours may vary based on organizational needs.
+ Staff will receive training on infection control and safety protocols, including handling potentially hazardous situations.
+ Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is required within the first month of employment for those providing direct care.
