Job Title: Principal Software Engineer

About the Role:
The Broad Institute, Genomics Platform seeks a skilled Principal Software Engineer for our Data Analysis & Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our high-scale cloud-based orchestration platform for running genomics pipelines and delivering data to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure to support new and existing projects on the platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, partners, and computational biologists to deliver high-quality systems.
- Develop advanced algorithms, infrastructure, and portals to meet the needs of our stakeholders.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of bioinformatics experience with a deep understanding of pipelines (e.g., DRAGEN, WDL).
- Proven ability to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems with excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, GCP), Apache Airflow, and multiple programming languages (Python, Java).

Estimated Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per annum.
