Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. as a key member of our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by installing, maintaining, and performing preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Calibrate controls, gauges, meters, and other equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Identify and locate shut-off valves and operate them as needed to prevent damage and ensure safety.
  • Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies as required to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and purchase orders to ensure efficient ordering and stocking.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, or machines and perform repairs as necessary to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers to ensure efficient communication and record-keeping.
  • Operate power lift and other equipment as needed to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump run tests and generator run tests, to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
  • Assist in developing disaster response protocols to ensure the safety of guests and employees.
  • Respond to and attend to guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries to management in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete safety training and certifications to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional to maintain a positive image of the company.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information to protect the company's interests.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities to ensure equal access to services and facilities.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others to ensure a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Support team to reach common goals and objectives to ensure the success of the company.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees to ensure open communication and a positive work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards to maintain a high level of service and quality.
  • Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings to drive business growth and success.
Requirements:
  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree in a relevant field such as maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience in a maintenance or facilities management role.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience to ensure leadership and management skills.
