Job Summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Transmission & Distribution global practice. As a key member of our team, you will serve as a lead engineer on telecommunications projects, working closely with clients to design and implement innovative solutions for the modernization of today's electric grid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the electrical design of projects from conceptual phase through design completion
  • Research, design, and compile project-related data as required by project managers
  • Apply knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients
  • Create project deliverables, including device configurations, network architecture diagrams, and specifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or other related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience on network design and optimization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred
