Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Physical Therapist to provide services in a school environment. In this role, you will assist students in enhancing their physical capabilities, improving their functional skills, and facilitating their engagement in school activities. You will work closely with educators, families, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute tailored treatment strategies.

Primary Duties:

  • Evaluate students' physical requirements and design customized therapy programs.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic interventions to enhance motor skills, strength, and coordination.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and school personnel to support students' physical and functional objectives.
  • Track and document student progress, modifying therapy plans as necessary.
  • Engage in IEP meetings and assist in the formulation of educational goals.
  • Provide education to students, families, and staff on methods to promote physical development and autonomy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral or Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Massachusetts.
  • Experience with pediatric populations, ideally in an educational context.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
