Pediatric Physical Therapist

The Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team at the Center for Child Development. As a Senior Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing patient care to neonates and newborns up to three years of age, conducting comprehensive developmental assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans to optimize motor development and function.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical therapy assessments, including Bayley 4, for high-risk NICU graduates and young children (0-3 years) at the Center for Child Development.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to optimize motor development and function.
- Closely collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
- Provide consultation and education to families, focusing on enhancing motor development outcomes.
- Document patient progress accurately and timely, adhering to departmental and regulatory standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program required.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Massachusetts required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in pediatric care required, preferably with NICU populations.
- Experience conducting developmental assessments, particularly Bayley 4.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
The work is performed in a clinical environment with some exposure to body fluids, and communicable diseases. Physical effort required for lifting, transferring, and positioning patients and equipment.
