Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the organization’s overarching business goals and growth initiatives. Spearhead financial forecasting, budgeting, and comprehensive financial planning.
  • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and payroll processing.
  • Guarantee the precision and integrity of financial documentation while ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Establish and uphold robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, encompassing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Supervise compliance with all pertinent regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to enhance business performance. Provide financial insights and recommendations aimed at improving profitability and operational effectiveness.
  • Manage the organization’s capital structure, including debt, equity, and cash flow. Lead capital-raising initiatives and cultivate relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks. Implement and monitor internal controls to protect the organization’s assets.
  • Direct financial due diligence and integration processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic ventures.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Board of Directors, investors, and external auditors. Effectively communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of financial leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a CFO or senior finance capacity.
  • Robust background in environmental services or related sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and a proven track record of driving business growth.
  • Exceptional leadership skills.
