Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Program Coordinator/Advisor to join our team at Dillard University. The successful candidate will provide academic advising, program coordination, and outreach efforts to support the success of undergraduate students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement academic advising plans for students in the program, focusing on research opportunities, graduate school applications, and career development.
  • Cordinate graduate school admissions seminars and workshops to support student success.
  • Collaborate with university staff to recruit and retain high-achieving students from underrepresented backgrounds.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience working with first-generation, economically disadvantaged, and/or underrepresented students are required. A Master's degree and familiarity with federal TRIO programs are preferred.

The successful candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, proficiency in computer applications, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
