Key Responsibilities
  • Market and Sell Insurance Products: Develop knowledge of the local market dynamics for business development opportunities in all product lines.
  • Grow the Agency: Utilize consultative selling techniques to sell insurance products to new customers and help the agency grow.
  • Cross-Sell and Upsell: Proactively cross-sell and coordinate with agency team members to provide additional coverage to existing customers.
  • Prospect for New Business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through leads, networking events, trade shows, and personal contacts.
  • Secure New Business: Meet or exceed sales targets through individual effort and established lead methods.
  • Deliver Effective Presentations: Prepare quotations and applications and deliver effective presentations to close sales.
Requirements
  • Strong Sales and Customer Service Skills: Ability to work independently to plan, set priorities, and organize work.
  • Active Insurance License: Possess an active insurance license.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with PC software applications (Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer, etc.) and digital devices (smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers).
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all information related to clients, customers, employees, carriers, or other information.
