  • Prospect for new business opportunities, ensuring a minimum of 1-2 hours of daily outreach
  • Obtain referrals from families served by the location
  • Build relationships with the community and local organizations
  • Present and explain cemetery services to families
  • Track and maintain activity levels to ensure productivity

Building Relationships with Families:

  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely, respectful, and professional manner
  • Connect with families through active listening, honest communication, and genuine concern
  • Understand each family's unique needs and offer solutions that provide value
  • Stay in touch with families to ensure satisfaction
  • Prepare for appointments and perform procedures with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Follow through on customer problems and requests
  • Establish trust-based relationships for future referrals

Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with funeral directors, location managers, and other staff to provide seamless service
  • Review previous services and contacts with families to prepare for current needs
  • Share family concerns with the rest of the team

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of college or equivalent education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience

Licenses:

  • Current state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Insurance license if required by state law

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to drive frequently
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance license
  • Flexible hours, with occasional 12-hour workdays
  • Empathy and respect for others
  • Basic computer skills and software knowledge
  • Customer service skills

Compensation:

Role earns monthly commissions, with average third-year earnings exceeding $100,000
