Position Overview

Contract Behavioral Consultant (PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, or BCBA)

Employment Type: Part-Time

Compensation: $60 per hour

Service Area: Temecula and Inland Empire

Client Engagement: 10 hours per client monthly; flexibility in case selection; currently available for 4 clients with immediate needs.

Schedule: Customize your working hours from Monday to Friday.

Toward Maximum Independence (TMI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities since 1981, and supporting the deaf and hard of hearing community since 2000. TMI is devoted to fostering the inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities in all aspects of community life. The ideal candidate will possess experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, co-occurring mental health conditions, and various medical diagnoses. Candidates should have a background in conducting functional behavioral assessments, implementing behavioral modification strategies, and providing crisis intervention within family settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage as a member of an interdisciplinary planning team.
  • Deliver direct support and training to youth, individuals, families, resource parents, respite providers, and TMI social workers.
  • Consult with staff, placement agencies, funding sources, educational institutions, and families to ensure effective execution of recommended programs and services.
  • Oversee the development of assessments with functional analysis and behavior intervention plans.
  • Complete necessary agency documentation.
  • Provide monthly written reports on behavioral services rendered.
  • Deliver services in alignment with funding levels and requirements for direct and indirect services.

Requirements

  • Participate in at least one clinical meeting each month.
  • Travel up to one hour to conduct consultations in clients' homes.
  • Submit monthly billing to TMI (Mileage is not reimbursed).
  • Work schedule is variable, Monday through Friday.
  • This is a Contract Position (No Benefits).

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must hold a valid clinician license (LCSW, PsyD, or PhD in Clinical Psychology) or be a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • At least 12 units of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) training is preferred.
