Position Overview

Healix Infusion Therapy, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to become part of our dynamic team.

Role Summary:
As an Infusion Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering clinical services within specialized areas such as infectious diseases, gastroenterology, or allergy/asthma. This position is ideal for nursing professionals who excel in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing high-quality infusion therapy to patients utilizing state-of-the-art technology.

Work Schedule:
This role is based in the Metro-Atlanta area, with occasional travel to nearby locations, providing mileage reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:
As part of your role in the Infusion Center, you will:
  • Coordinate new patient admissions in collaboration with corporate nursing and business office teams.
  • Access PICC lines for the administration of intravenous medications.
  • Prepare medications for patient administration in an infusion center environment.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on infusion drug therapy.
  • Monitor patient treatment, safety, and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with practice staff and corporate nursing support to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Manage onsite nursing functions, including patient scheduling, service charting, inventory management, and follow-up care coordination.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Experience in critical care or outpatient/homecare infusion is advantageous.
  • Recent experience in intravenous administration and catheter management.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to meet the expectations of our physicians.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively with the corporate clinical team.

Licenses and Certifications:
Applicants must hold:
  • A valid and unencumbered State Board of Nursing License.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Additional certifications such as CRNI, VA-BC, or OCN are preferred.
