Position Overview

Healix Infusion Therapy, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to enhance our team.

Role Summary:
As an Infusion Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering clinical services within a specialty facility focused on infectious diseases, gastroenterology, or allergy/asthma. This position is ideal for nursing professionals who excel in dynamic environments, providing infusion therapy to patients utilizing state-of-the-art technology in a progressive setting.

Work Schedule:
This role is primarily based in the Metro-Atlanta area, with occasional travel to nearby locations, including mileage reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:
As part of your duties in the Infusion Center, you will:
  • Coordinate new patient admissions in collaboration with corporate nursing and administrative teams.
  • Access PICC lines for intravenous medication administration.
  • Prepare medications for patient administration in an infusion center environment.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on infusion drug therapy.
  • Monitor patient treatment, safety, and outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication with practice staff and corporate support teams to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Manage onsite nursing functions, including patient scheduling, service documentation, inventory control, and follow-up care coordination.

Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Experience in critical care or outpatient/homecare infusion is advantageous.
  • Recent experience in intravenous administration and catheter management.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to meet the expectations of our physicians.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively with the corporate clinical team and within physician practice standards.

Certifications:
Candidates must hold:
  • A valid and unencumbered State Board of Nursing License.
  • Current basic life support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred certifications include CRNI, VA-BC, or OCN.
