Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Advisor to join our team at Community Behavioral Health. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the clinical management of members, ensuring alignment with best practice standards and state regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with providers and system stakeholders to troubleshoot clinical and medical matters, including member placement, coordination of care, and quality concerns.
  • Participate in quality reviews and clinical meetings to ensure optimal care outcomes for our members.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate internal and external stakeholders on clinical best practices.
  • Review cases from multiple sites and levels of care for medical necessity, and perform peer review cases for disputed levels of care.
Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and PA licensure.
  • Board certification in Adult or Child Psychiatry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical psychiatry experience, including significant experience with inpatient care and substance abuse treatment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment

This role requires regular travel within the City of Philadelphia and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to continuous changes and demands of the job.
