Patient Access Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Randstad. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring accurate and timely registration and access to healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Perform appointment making processes and ensure accurate patient registration
- Verify patient demographics and payor coverage, and perform check-in, check-out, admit and discharge tasks
- Build and maintain appointing templates and perform MyGH set up verification
- Communicate with patients via multiple channels and provide excellent customer service
- Confirm and set up payor coverage structures and obtain prior authorization for services
- Process appropriate items in the patient, claim edit and charge review work queues
- Act as liaison to Patient Financial Services and the Health Plan, and communicate with external government payors and employers as necessary
- Perform manual service capture and data entry, and act as liaison to Health Information Management Coding Specialist for facility specific coding issues
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, treating customers with courtesy and respect
- Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements, and may act as a guide when a patient accesses internal healthplan services
