Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at SIG Combibloc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and implement repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Collaborate with the shift maintenance team to resolve problems and improve equipment reliability.
  • Act as a resource for PLC programming, variable speed drives, electrical and pneumatic controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production machine equipment and systems.
  • Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance efforts to improve overall equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, OSHA safety requirements, and Scholle IPN safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Industrial or Electrical Maintenance Technology preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with knowledge of electric motors, conveyors, gears, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Hands-on metal fabrication experience, with welding experience a plus.
  • Ability to use and operate basic maintenance and repair tools and machining equipment.
  • Ability to accurately use precision measurement instruments to check parts, check tolerances, check alignment of equipment, and manufacture replacement parts.
  • Knowledge and ability to understand basic drawings, equipment manuals, parts lists, and equipment instructions.
  • Capable of reading and making basic drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to work safely and follow regulatory and Company Policies and Guidelines.
  • Positive attitude, cooperative nature, and strong team player.
