Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Professional to join our team at NorthPoint Search Group Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations and laws in multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on tax issues and interpret regulations to determine applicability to our organization.
- Assist in preparing annual reports and other state compliance filings in new tax jurisdictions.
- Reconcile general ledger balances for tax accounts and prepare various tax returns and annual reports.
- Review annual federal and state income tax returns for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with financial and tax audits by preparing accurate documentation requests.
- Develop analytical skills to research and prepare special reports as requested by management.
- Stay up-to-date with current tax and technology developments to maintain data integrity and improve efficiencies.
- Support continuous improvement in the department by reviewing and implementing better methods for existing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- CPA licensure is ideal.
- Strong analytical skills with a working knowledge of current tax laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural environment.
- Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with multiple software platforms, including Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
