Job Title: Part-Time Social Media Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Part-Time Social Media Coordinator to join our team at Space Foundation. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a social media strategy to increase engagement and followers across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase engagement and followers across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.).
  • Create, curate, and schedule content that aligns with Space Foundation's goals and mission.
  • Monitor social media trends, industry news, and engagement metrics to optimize posts and campaigns.
  • Engage with followers, respond to messages and comments, and build relationships with space enthusiasts, industry professionals, and potential partners.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
  • Track and report on the performance of social media campaigns, suggesting improvements and strategies for growth.
  • Stay informed about current events, advancements, and trends in the space industry to ensure relevant and timely content.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, either professionally or through internships.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a creative approach to content creation.
  • Passion for space exploration, technology, and STEM education.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic graphic design skills and experience with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AP Style is a plus.
  • Basic photography and videography skills.
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, requiring 10-15 hours of work per week with flexible scheduling. The physical demands of this job are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is non-exempt according to guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay. The primary worksite is the headquarters location in Colorado Springs, CO, and is eligible for remote work. The nature and responsibilities of this position are such that it is eligible for alternative worksite arrangements, such as working from home or telecommuting, on a consistent or recurring basis.
