Job Overview

General Summary

The Estimator Planner is responsible for conducting site evaluations, developing project plans, and performing cost assessments for various service order initiatives. This role involves drafting proposals, coordinating with subcontractors, overseeing project timelines, and ensuring thorough inspections throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze construction plans and specifications to prepare accurate budget estimates.
  • Assess purchase offers based on site-specific requirements and cost variations.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in cost estimates through detailed analysis.
  • Compile and present comprehensive budgets, reports, and project strategies.
  • Create competitive bids for construction projects.
  • Collaborate closely with architects and other industry professionals.
  • Organize and lead meetings with clients, site managers, and team members.
  • Interpret and navigate building regulations effectively.
  • Handle necessary documentation and travel to project sites as needed.
  • Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Stay informed about safety regulations and advancements in construction practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in estimation or a related field.
  • Understanding of financial principles and project management methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of research techniques and estimation methodologies.
  • Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in estimation software and relevant technology.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction estimating software, including R.S. Means or similar tools.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in construction estimation and project management.

Education and Certifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma.
