General Summary

The Estimator Planner is responsible for conducting site evaluations, developing project plans, and estimating costs for all service order initiatives. This role involves drafting proposals, designing projects, soliciting bids from subcontractors, overseeing project execution, and performing both interim and final inspections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze budget estimates for construction projects by reviewing architectural plans and specifications.
  • Assess purchase offers based on site requirements, modifications, and cost adjustments.
  • Address cost discrepancies through thorough analysis and information gathering.
  • Draft and present detailed budgets, reports, and project outlines.
  • Create competitive bids for construction projects.
  • Collaborate closely with architects and other industry professionals.
  • Organize meetings with clients, site managers, and team members.
  • Interpret and navigate building regulations and codes.
  • Handle necessary paperwork and conduct site visits as needed.
  • Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Stay informed about safety regulations and advancements in construction practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as an estimator or in a related role.
  • Understanding of financial management and project oversight principles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of research methodologies and estimation techniques.
  • Strong mathematical and IT skills with an analytical approach.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimating software.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction estimating software and databases, including R.S. Means or similar tools.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years in construction estimating and project management.

Education and Certifications

Required:
