**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead the West County First 5 Center in San Pablo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood development, program planning, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance service delivery and align with the Center's mission.
  • Ensure operational excellence by maintaining high service quality standards and procedural criteria.
  • Oversee staff management, including hiring, training, and supervision, to promote professional growth and development.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive environment by ensuring programs affirm and strengthen participants' cultural, racial, and linguistic identities.
  • Monitor program quality and fidelity, adapting to emerging family and community issues to meet participant needs.
  • Establish and maintain community partnerships to support in-kind programming and collaboration.
  • Document program outcomes and evaluation measures, providing detailed reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage grant funding, the Center's budget, and provide financial oversight to ensure compliance with internal and contract requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field; or four to ten years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Keen interest in working with the complexities of a family resource center, holding the vision and mission while attending to granular details.
  • Experience with program planning, implementation, evaluation, and community organizing.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to adapt as program needs evolve.
  • Ability to balance and strategize concurrent projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including group presentations and group facilitation.
  • Ability to exemplify strong interpersonal skills, work with individuals from varied backgrounds, and support others in navigating through a diverse environment.
