Position Overview

The Costing Coordinator will assist the production-planning division by performing various administrative tasks. This role encompasses data management, correspondence creation, report generation, system validation, and project follow-ups. Key responsibilities include:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with design teams on product development initiatives
  • Facilitate vendor communications
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures
  • Oversee the pre-costing phase, analyzing design specifications, fabric details, and trim information to provide accurate pricing estimates
  • Evaluate and negotiate cost structures and profitability margins
  • Gather time and action calendar details from vendors, ensuring timely communication of pricing to planning teams
  • Coordinate sample yardage management, including procurement and tracking of deliveries
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
  • Assist in the issuance and distribution of Purchase Orders, updating schedules with relevant details
  • Support the Costing Manager by providing updated cost sheets, line sheets, and fabric information
  • Process Import Purchase Orders and prepare necessary production documentation
  • Distribute fabric samples and color standards to vendors
  • Set up styles in the Full Circle system
  • Request fabric delivery specifications from mills
  • Confirm pricing and delivery timelines with fabric suppliers
  • Compile accurate cost sheets
  • Demonstrate strong follow-up capabilities
  • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including formulas like vlookup and pivot tables) - *Essential*
  • Familiarity with Photo Shop & Illustrator is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Experience in data entry utilizing Full Circle
  • Knowledge of Order Management systems (Full Circle, Sage, Tukatech) - *Essential*
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service abilities, maintaining a positive demeanor
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage various activities concurrently

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma
  • 1-2 years of experience in a domestic apparel production environment is preferred

Job Type: Full-time
