Hospital Assistant I

We are seeking a skilled Hospital Assistant I to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support services.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting direct patient care providers with safe patient handling, stocking, cleaning, and set-up of special procedure rooms. You will also track, deliver, clean, and perform basic repair of equipment & supplies, ensuring that equipment is available and in good condition when needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of six months relevant experience in a healthcare environment. You must also be able to perform basic mathematical computations, use general office equipment, and communicate effectively in English. Additionally, you will need to be available to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a hospital assistant and knowledge of infectious control techniques and medical terminology are highly desirable. You will also need to hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to undergo a background check and live scan, provide proof of legal right to work in the United States, and comply with vaccination policies. You will also be expected to adhere to smoking and tobacco policies, work in a drug-free environment, and comply with other conditions of employment as outlined by the University of California, Irvine.
