Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine & Palliative Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory or inpatient settings, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including history-taking, physical exams, and developing treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of California
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably in a medicine or palliative care unit
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
