Position Summary

The Operations Control Center (OCC) Specialist acts as the station's OCC representative, overseeing daily responsibilities related to flight service documentation, workforce planning, and both internal and external communications. The Specialist liaises with our airline partners, airport authorities, the central planning team, and the station management team. Specialists are expected to proactively oversee the allocation of personnel to ensure that our operational and financial performance indicators are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate daily performance reports and conduct briefings with the station management team.
  • Provide precise and timely updates on flight data across various systems for billing, capturing flight details, irregularity reports, and performance tracking.
  • Manage all operational communications regarding flight schedules, load information, special service requests, and regulatory details from our clients.
  • Address all staff communications (sick leave notifications, injuries, operational issues).
  • Serve as the primary contact for all Customer Airlines and departmental representatives.
  • Respond promptly to changes in Customer Airline schedules and ensure accurate communication to all departments.
  • Proactively share information with Regional Resource Analysts regarding operational changes and local challenges.
  • Utilize company tools consistently and accurately; an OCC specialist navigates an average of 7-8 applications to capture service data, quality metrics, and allocate resources effectively.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 1 year of operational experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the complexities involved in managing a labor-intensive workforce.
  • Exceptional planning and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in people and operational management skills, including leadership, resource management, planning, negotiation, communication, financial, and HR competencies.
  • Solid knowledge of statutory and procedural obligations relevant to the business, including health and safety, employment, and security matters.
  • Ability to swiftly and accurately evaluate situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, in accordance with business needs and operational demands.
  • Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
