Compensation and Benefits – The salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $175,000 annually, complemented by a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
Key Responsibilities of the Lead Financial Strategy Manager
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Develop forecasts utilizing historical data and statistical techniques, while conducting variance analysis (actual vs. budgeted and projected).
- Create financial models to support marketing initiatives (advertising, promotions, discounts, loyalty programs).
- Monitor all significant cost centers.
- Evaluate pricing strategies for individual products.
- Maintain and disseminate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Leverage KPIs to inform both short-term and long-term financial strategies.
- Establish KPI targets for the Finance and Accounting teams.
- Conduct flux analysis.
- Present findings to the Board of Directors on a regular basis.
- Oversee team members.
- Collaborate closely with Accounting, Sales, and Operations departments.
- Financial Data Collection and Analysis
- Gather essential financial data for reporting projects.
- Assist other departments with data reconciliation and audit processes.
- Develop models to enhance data collection, analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
- Refine and sustain financial models for executive management and other key stakeholders.
- Advise on strategies to meet the company's financial objectives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications for the Lead Financial Strategy Manager
Essential
- A minimum of five years of experience in FP&A and accounting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in developing financial models using Excel.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
Preferred
- CPA certification.
- MBA degree.
- Experience in a company with Department of Defense contracts.
Skills Required for the Lead Financial Strategy Manager
Essential
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including v-lookups, offsets, index/matches, IF formulas, pivot tables, and chart creation.
Interpersonal Skills
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) for presenting insights to executives and managers.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of ethics and integrity.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with financial reporting software such as Cognos/TM1 or HFM.
- Experience with data analysis tools like SAS or SQL.
