Essential Functions
  • Assists patients and visitors by performing patient-related duties, including check-in, scheduling, and insurance verification.

  • Directs patients to appropriate waiting areas and provides clear instructions.
  • Accepts payments for physician/clinic services, posts payments, and generates daily payment reports.
  • Responds to routine inquiries and escalates concerns to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Aids with medical records duties, including chart retrieval, sorting, and filing.
Key Success Factors
  • Excellent listening, social, and communication skills, with professional telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to adjust communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation.
  • Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation.
  • Skilled in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
