Job Summary

The Patient Transport Specialist provides safe and efficient transportation of patients, medical records, and equipment to various areas of the institution, ensuring seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients and their belongings, medical records, and equipment to various areas of the institution.
  • Maintain a positive customer service attitude and respond to customer needs.
  • Effectively use electronic devices and computers to notify dispatchers of status and proceed as instructed.
  • Verify patient identities and transport patients upon admissions and discharge.
  • Transport decedent bodies to the morgue in a timely manner and ensure proper documentation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.
  • Ability to work well under time constraints and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

This role may require physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking. Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
