The Role


The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships is tasked with managing relationships with key strategic accounts and developing connections with potential clients.

This role will primarily focus on our Data and AI sector. The VP will ensure that all aspects of account management, from strategic planning to execution, exceed client expectations.

In collaboration with Business Development and Marketing leadership, the VP will work on a blend of product, brand, market, and sales strategies, coordinate new leads, explore business opportunities, and secure new clients.


WillowTree's Business Development team consists of a variety of skilled professionals dedicated to driving innovation and growth at the forefront of client engagement.

Our team focuses on three key areas within the client journey:
1. Prospecting
2. Pursuit
3. Expansion

Key Responsibilities

- Identify target accounts to optimize services and communicate WillowTree's capabilities to clients
- Clearly articulate product features to successfully implement technology solutions
- Collaborate with our Solutions Architects and Product teams to develop executive-level proposals, pitches, and Statements of Work (SOWs) for prospective and existing clients
- Cultivate and strengthen existing C-level relationships with current clients
- Partner with our delivery leadership to respond to opportunities and collaboratively sell through RFP responses or other sales cycles
- Advise WillowTree's internal teams on industry and vendor trends to remain well-positioned to assist our clients

Qualifications

- Extensive consulting and sales experience in Data Engineering and/or custom AI services engaging with Fortune 5000-level client accounts
- Proven experience in acquiring new client logos or cross-selling within existing client accounts
- In-depth knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, Machine Learning Operations, Data Engineering, and/or Data Science
- Intellectual curiosity regarding the Data & AI market and trends
- Ability to identify and analyze business challenges while demonstrating a keen sense of value
- Proficient in scoping and planning analyses that yield critical insights; capable of identifying necessary data and procuring it accordingly
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels. The ideal candidate excels in client relations and possesses the executive presence to influence senior stakeholders
