As a Computer Instructor, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality educational programs to working adults, helping them to improve their computer skills and advance in their careers.
Key Responsibilities- Program Delivery
- Develop and implement contextualized curriculum and daily lesson plans for courses
- Deliver classes to participants, evaluating their progress and providing feedback
- Track outcomes and create reports for funders and evaluators
- Employer Partnerships
- Establish and maintain relationships with key employer staff, working collaboratively to meet program goals and outcomes
- Assist with planning and implementation of changes in the program, curriculum, or instruction
- Student Support
- Meet program goals and outcomes, establishing, tracking, and meeting program dashboard indicators
- Develop and modify curriculum based on the needs of students and employers
- Provide students with feedback and support to ensure they achieve predetermined outcomes
- Administrative Tasks
- Communicate with supervisors regarding attendance, enrollment, and concerns impacting student progress
- Assist with completing final reports for classes
- 2 or more years of teaching experience with adults
- Knowledge of adult learning theory
- Interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- BS in Education or related field
