The Audio & Media Technologies (AMT) division is responsible for delivering the audio and media framework across Apple's groundbreaking products, including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod, and Mac OS.

Role Responsibilities:

Our team is tasked with developing software services for real-time audio and video conferencing as well as media distribution systems.

Our proprietary AV pipeline powers key features such as FaceTime, Group FaceTime, SharePlay, Continuity Camera, SideCar, AirPlay4k, and HomeKit IP Camera.

We seek a capable engineering manager to help advance our AVConference engine into new products, broadening the Apple media experience across additional devices and endpoints.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial management experience and a robust understanding of media systems, embedded software, and system software architecture.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines to deliver significant results for our clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong mentorship skills to develop your team, champion software and engineering excellence, and maintain unwavering commitment to achieving our objectives.
  • Experience in embedded real-time environments with proficiency in C, C++, or Objective-C.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Education & Experience:

B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with a strong emphasis on software engineering.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range.

The base salary range for this position is between $181,000 and $313,000, with actual salary dependent on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Eligible employees may receive discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
