Job Summary

Dupill Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Lead Inspector to join its team at the Butler PA location.

The Quality Control Lead Inspector will be responsible for ensuring customer expectations are met by following the Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures.

This role involves both Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities in support of all departments for cross-functional success.

The successful candidate will supervise the Quality Control Inspectors at the site and oversee the day-to-day quality activities to maintain and communicate facility and corporate metrics and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety and quality requirements
  • Supervise and provide leadership for the Quality Control (QC) Inspectors
  • Oversee the day-to-day quality activities in order to maintain and communicate facility and corporate metrics and objectives
  • Follow all necessary Document System procedures and processes
  • Complete incoming, in-process, and final inspections
  • Document and segregate non-conforming material and workmanship
  • Record Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Preventive Actions into the Quality Database
  • Apply problem solving techniques and/or root cause analysis
  • Review Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Preventive Actions from the Quality Database with Facility Management to identify and implement continuous improvement
  • Verify Material Test Reports (MTRs) and similar documents for required information upon receipt of materials
  • Maintain calibration and verification of tools and measuring equipment
  • Maintain AWS CSI and applicable certification
  • Ensure Welding Specification Procedures (WPS) are current and in place for projects
  • Supervise and/or conduct Welder Qualification Test Reports (WQTR) to AWS and/or ASME
  • Maintain the Welder Continuity Log
  • Organize and record quality related training activities
  • Represent the company, as needed, on field issues requiring investigation and decisions associated with product quality and conformance
  • Able to work flexible schedules and overtime or weekends when needed
  • Prompt and dependable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5 years welding experience, or equivalent training in fabrication of steel products preferred
  • 5 years QC Inspector experience (or equivalent) preferred
  • AWS Certified Weld Inspector preferred
