Position SummaryThis leadership role will provide management support to both new and existing Compass Group accounts within educational environments. Significant travel is expected, including overnight stays, and candidates should be open to relocation.
As the Custodial Management Director, you will oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and security of designated facilities. You will coordinate the activities of janitorial staff effectively, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction while fostering a safe and equitable work environment.
Your responsibilities will include assigning tasks, conducting inspections, and addressing any complaints regarding janitorial services, implementing immediate corrective measures as necessary. You will ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operational, as well as manage inventory levels of janitorial supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication across shifts to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
- Train staff in janitorial techniques and the proper use of equipment.
- Distribute supplies and equipment to staff to guarantee timely service delivery.
- Conduct daily inspections and follow up on assignments to confirm completion.
- Cross-train and develop personnel for various roles.
- Hold weekly staff meetings to review task completion and upcoming projects.
- Secure facilities after work completion.
- Guide project completion to ensure timely and budget-compliant outcomes.
- Report any budgetary concerns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred college degree.
- One to two years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a service-related field with significant customer interaction.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient problem-solving abilities in both individual and group settings.
- Ability to engage and motivate team members.
- Understanding of budgeting processes and profit and loss awareness.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective time management skills.
- Capability to operate heavy cleaning equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
