Position Summary

This position will provide managerial support to both new and existing Compass Group accounts in educational environments. The role requires travel, which may include overnight stays, and candidates should be open to relocation as necessary.

As the Facilities Cleaning Operations Manager, you will oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and security of designated facilities. You will coordinate the activities of janitorial staff effectively, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include assigning tasks, inspecting completed work, and addressing any complaints regarding cleaning services, taking immediate corrective actions as needed. You will ensure that all cleaning equipment is maintained and operational, and manage inventory levels of janitorial supplies through regular assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate communication between shifts to ensure task completion.
  • Train staff in cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
  • Distribute supplies and equipment to staff to guarantee timely service delivery.
  • Conduct daily inspections and follow up on assignments to confirm completion.
  • Cross-train personnel for various roles.
  • Hold weekly meetings to review task progress and upcoming projects.
  • Secure facilities after work completion.
  • Guide project completion to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Report any budgetary concerns.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred college degree.
  • One to two years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a service-related field with significant customer interaction.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities in both individual and group settings.
  • Capability to engage and motivate team members.
  • Understanding of budgeting processes and profit and loss awareness.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Experience with heavy cleaning equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
