Job Description

The Breakdown Operator is a key member of our production team, responsible for loading and unloading panels from the oven for the baking process, breaking down books, inserting and removing pins, and operating the flash routing machine to edge off the finished panels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reads and interprets work instructions to verify work order number and panel quantity, ensuring all previous processes were completed, signed off, and dated.
  • Assists the autoclave operator in removing the bag from the autoclave.
  • Inserts pins using lam plates and removes all pins after the autoclave process, loads and unloads inner layers from the oven.
  • Wraps, labels, and stores lam plates.
  • Presets the flash route machine and loads/unloads panels through it and then bakes panels.
  • Completes all documents accurately.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedure, instructions, and safety rules in English to the degree necessary to perform the job.
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety codes and requirements.
  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions.
  • Must be available to train during 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift after training.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • No experience is required.
Work Environment:

The work environment requires frequent standing and walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive hand and finger motion.

Schedule:
  • 8-hour shift.
  • Evening shift.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Overtime.
  • Weekends as needed.
Available Shift:
  • Training is 1st Shift 7:30am to 4:00pm.
  • Regular Schedule is 2nd shift 4:00pm to 12:30am.
