Job SummaryThe Breakdown Operator is responsible for loading and unloading panels from the oven for the baking process, breaking down books, inserting and removing pins, and operating the flash routing machine to edge off the finished panels.
Key Responsibilities- Reads and interprets work instructions on the traveler to verify work order number and panel quantity; ensures that all previous processes were completed, signed off and dated on the traveler.
- Helps autoclave operator to remove bag from autoclave
- Inserts pins using lam plates and removes all pins after autoclave process; loads and unloads inner layers from the oven
- Wraps, labels and stores lam plates
- Presets flash route machine and loads/unloads panels through it and then bakes panels
- Completes all documents accurately
- Performs other duties as needed
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedure, instructions and safety rules in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
- Ability to understand and follow all safety codes and requirements.
- Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated
- Must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions
- Must be available to train during 1st shift and transition to 3rd shift after training
The work environment requires frequent standing and walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds; as well as repetitive hand and finger motion.
Schedule- Monday to Friday
- Training is 1st Shift 7:30am to 4:00pm
- Regular Schedule is 3rd shift 12:30 am to 7:30 am
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
