Your Role:

The Clinical Nurse is accountable for delivering coordinated nursing care for patients within a designated care unit and overseeing daily clinical operations. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of various levels of nursing staff, utilizing professional judgment and discretion. The nurse employs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills in patient care delivery. The primary focus is to provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective nursing care while implementing the medical and nursing care plan.

Your Contributions to the Team:

· Demonstrates proficient assessment skills to ensure high-quality patient care.

· Conducts and documents initial assessments in accordance with unit standards, which may include: initial observations, gathering and interpreting information regarding patient needs, safety, discharge planning, psychosocial and cultural considerations, family needs, and comprehensive physical assessments. Reports relevant information promptly to the responsible physician.

· Monitors patient laboratory results for trends and communicates abnormal findings to the appropriate physician, ensuring timely interventions.

· Utilizes clinical data to implement necessary interventions.

· Performs and documents ongoing assessments that accurately reflect the physical and mental status of patients across all age groups, adhering to unit standards and patient conditions.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Minimum Requirements:

o Graduate from an accredited nursing program with at least an Associate of Science degree or diploma.

o Active Florida RN license or multi-state RN license is required.

o Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

o Current AHA Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and other relevant certifications may be required upon hire for specific departments, as per facility policy.

o Experience in a PCU setting is preferred.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in hospital or acute care nursing.

• National certification in relevant areas of practice.

• Membership in a national professional organization.
