Senior Application Support Analyst

Location: Remote in California

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Application Support Analyst within the Application Services Department at the Alliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Application Manager, this role entails:

  • Delivering medium- to high-level assistance and expertise concerning systems configuration, research, and analysis, as well as the implementation of State policies and procedures, in support of the Application Analyst IV.
  • Assisting the Application Analyst IV and Application Services leadership in evaluating Alliance business processes, managing medium to high complexity systems configuration, and conducting relevant research.
  • Providing essential systems technology training and subject matter expertise to Alliance personnel in collaboration with other Application Analysts, Application Services leadership, and the Training and Development Department.

We manage, develop, and integrate software solutions for the Alliance to ensure that mission objectives and regulatory requirements are executed efficiently, promptly, and accurately.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Possesses exceptional business analysis capabilities.
  • Is skilled in systems configurations.
  • Enjoys collaborating across functions to comprehend internal requirements and design systems accordingly.
  • A background in healthcare, particularly in Medical/Managed Care, is advantageous.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of:
    • Software product lifecycle management, from requirement definition to implementation.
    • Technical implementation processes, including system integration, information management application, and project management.
    • The Medicaid Program, methods of product configuration in a Medicaid/Medicare context, and medical terminology, related procedures, and national diagnostic coding.
    • Research, analysis, reporting methodologies, performance metrics, and statistics.
  • Ability to:
    • Comprehend business challenges and workflow issues within the organization and industry.
    • Analyze and create process maps, work instructions, and documentation.
    • Train, mentor, and serve as a technical resource for staff.
    • Manage multiple projects concurrently, organize tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet objectives and deadlines.
    • Translate business needs into detailed product specifications.
  • Education and Experience:
    • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care, Information Technology, Information Science, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of five years of product configuration experience, which includes some training experience, and at least three years in a managed healthcare environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may also qualify.

OTHER DETAILS

  • This position is associated with one of our Alliance offices, and we currently operate in a hybrid remote/in-office work environment.
  • Attendance at quarterly company-wide events or departmental meetings will be expected.
  • Depending on the nature of the work, this position may necessitate onsite presence, which will be discussed during the interview process.

The compensation range for this position varies by location. The actual compensation will be determined based on our compensation philosophy, an analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferable experience related to the position, education, or training), and other factors such as internal equity, market conditions, and geographic location.
